All central office and school-based staff will receive one day of paid leave for each of the two days that the employee is vaccinated. If the vaccination occurs over the weekend, the leave will fall on the following Monday.
Employees are required to enter this Vaccination Leave via Oracle Self-Service. The following fields must be completed to Create an Absence Request and to accurately record your leave.
- For Absence Type, select "Other Leave"
- For Absence Reason, select "Vaccination"
- For Leave Hours, enter the total number of hours
- For Comments, enter any other relevant information
Please email written documentation of your scheduled vaccine to your immediate supervisor and retain a copy for your records. Following the vaccination period, your documentation may be reviewed to ensure that Vaccination Leave was only used on the day of actual vaccination (or the following Monday if the vaccination occurs on a weekend).
