TELL PGCPS BOARD OF EDUCATION TO KEEP SCHOOLS SAFE!

Lead investigator counselors work with students every day to keep PG County Public Schools safe and secure. They build relationships with and mentor students, coach athletic teams, and keep other staff and school personnel safe.

Now CEO Dr. Monica Goldson wants to reduce the already small number of lead investigator counselors in our district. She has decided to:

  • Move these employees from 12-month status to 10-month status in the future, which will impact their take-home pay
  • Demote workers to positions with severely lower wages
  • Not honoring the negotiated agreement approved by the Board of Education by refusing to retain lead investigator counselors’ current pay for one year

Tell the PGCPS Board of Education and the County Executive to REJECT these decisions!

The Board of Education must act now to ensure that schools remain safe, that students keep their mentors and the Union contract is upheld. Every support staff member matters for the safety and education of our students. Join us in the fight today for a better tomorrow.
